Drywall & Plaster Services

Drywall installation, repair and taping, and plaster repair and finishing for walls and ceilings — prepared for the finish you want.

The finish level is agreed in the estimate, so the surface is ready for paint and expectations are clear.

Drywall Installation

New drywall for walls and ceilings — layout to minimize joints, correct fastening, corner bead and the finishing sequence through to a paint-ready surface.

  • Board layout and fastening
  • Corner bead and joint preparation
  • Finishing sequence to the agreed level

Drywall Repair

Holes, cracks, water-damaged sections and dents are assessed, patched or replaced and blended into the surrounding surface so the repair disappears after painting. Water damage is repaired only after its cause is addressed.

  • Damage assessment
  • Patching or section replacement
  • Blending into adjacent finishes

Drywall Taping

Joint tape, compound coats and sanding take the surface to the agreed finish level — higher levels for smooth paint finishes and areas with strong side lighting.

  • Taping and compound coats
  • Sanding between coats
  • Finish level agreed in advance
Drywall Taping

Plastering

Plaster walls and ceilings are repaired and refinished, including skim coating where suitable. Extensive failure, or plaster detached from its lath, is assessed before a repair approach is recommended.

  • Plaster repair and refinishing
  • Skim coating where suitable
  • Assessment of extensive failure

All FAQs
Should damaged drywall be repaired or replaced?

Small holes, dents and cracks can usually be patched and blended. Water-damaged, mouldy or badly broken sections are usually better replaced. The cause of water damage should be fixed first.

What do drywall finish levels mean?

Finish levels (0 to 5) describe how much taping and compound work is done. Higher levels give a smoother surface for gloss paint or strong side lighting. The level is confirmed in the estimate so expectations are clear.

Do you repair plaster walls in older homes?

Plaster repair and skim coating can be part of the scope where suitable. Extensive plaster failure, or plaster that has come away from its lath, needs an on-site assessment before a repair approach is recommended.
