Stucco & Exterior Services

EIFS and stucco installation, repair and painting, exterior mouldings, foundation parging, chimney repair and restoration — planned around the existing wall assembly and its condition.

Every exterior project starts with an assessment of the substrate and of any moisture-related causes, so the scope and finish are agreed before work begins.

EIFS Stucco Installation

EIFS — exterior insulation and finish system — combines rigid insulation board, a reinforced base coat and a textured finish coat in one exterior wall assembly. Before installation we assess the substrate and the details around windows, doors and penetrations, then confirm the system components and the installation scope in writing. Installation is planned around the system manufacturer’s published requirements.

  • Substrate and detail assessment before work starts
  • Insulation board, reinforced base coat and finish coat
  • System components and scope confirmed in the written estimate

Moulding Installation

Exterior architectural mouldings — window and door surrounds, bands, cornices and sills — add definition to a façade. Mouldings are installed on approved substrates, aligned with the surrounding lines, sealed at joints and finished to suit the wall.

  • Window and door surrounds, bands and cornices
  • Aligned, fastened and sealed on approved substrates
  • Finished to match the exterior

Foundation Parging

Parging is a thin cementitious coating applied to exposed foundation walls to give a uniform finish and protect the surface. Preparation includes removing loose material and cleaning the wall; the finish can be smooth or lightly textured. Parging is not waterproofing — active leaks or structural cracks need a separate assessment.

  • Removal of loose or failed parging
  • Surface preparation and bonding where required
  • Smooth or textured finish

Chimney Repair

Exterior chimney surfaces weather quickly. Repair can include patching and re-coating stucco or parged chimney surfaces and renewing deteriorated finishes, following a condition assessment. Where the assessment shows structural movement, flue concerns or masonry damage beyond surface repair, we recommend inspection by the appropriate specialist before any work proceeds.

  • Condition assessment first
  • Surface repair and re-coating of exterior chimney finishes
  • Specialist referral where structural or flue issues are found

EIFS Stucco Painting

Coatings for EIFS and stucco must be compatible with the assembly so it continues to perform as designed. Preparation includes cleaning, repairing cracks and damaged areas and checking adhesion before coating. The estimate explains the coating choice, expected maintenance and recoat considerations.

  • Compatible coatings for EIFS and stucco
  • Cleaning, crack repair and adhesion checks
  • Maintenance and recoat guidance

Moulding Painting

Exterior mouldings need careful preparation for an even, durable finish: cleaning, sanding, filling and caulking joints, priming where needed, then finish coats with consistent colour and sheen. Touch-up work on existing painted mouldings is also available.

  • Preparation, caulking and priming
  • Consistent colour and sheen
  • Touch-ups on existing mouldings

EIFS Stucco Repair

Cracks, impact damage and delamination are repaired by removing the affected area, rebuilding the layers and matching the surrounding texture and finish as closely as possible. Where damage may be moisture-related, the cause is investigated first so the repair is not simply covering a recurring problem.

  • Inspection of the affected area
  • Layer-by-layer repair with texture matching
  • Investigation of moisture-related causes

Moulding Repairs

Cracked, chipped or detached exterior mouldings are repaired to restore a continuous profile: damaged sections are cut back or rebuilt, re-secured and prepared so the repaired area can be finished to match.

  • Rebuilding cracked or chipped profiles
  • Re-securing loose sections
  • Preparation for finishing

Restoration

Restoration work starts with a condition assessment of the exterior, followed by a prioritized repair plan. Repairs and finishes are chosen to suit the existing assembly, so the façade is improved without introducing incompatible materials.

  • Condition assessment and prioritized plan
  • Repairs suited to the existing assembly
  • Compatible finishes

Commercial exteriors

Storefront and building façades where appearance and scheduling around access matter.

Weather and season

Exterior coatings and cementitious work need suitable temperatures and dry conditions; timing is planned accordingly.

Moisture management

Damage linked to water entry is traced to its cause before surfaces are repaired.

How the work is done.

  1. Assessment

Inspect the wall assembly, damage and possible moisture causes.

  2. Preparation

Protect surroundings, remove failed material and prepare the substrate.

  3. Execution

Install, repair or coat according to the agreed scope.

  4. Finishing

Match texture and colour, seal joints and clean up.

  5. Review

Walk through the finished work and share maintenance guidance.

All FAQs
What is the difference between EIFS and conventional stucco?

EIFS (exterior insulation and finish system) combines insulation board, a reinforced base coat and a textured finish coat. Conventional stucco is a cement-based plaster applied in several coats over lath or masonry. Which repair or finish is appropriate depends on the existing wall assembly, so we confirm it on site before recommending anything.

Can damaged stucco be repaired without redoing the whole wall?

Often, yes — damaged areas can be cut out and repaired. Matching texture and colour exactly can be difficult, so recoating a full section may give a more consistent result. If the damage is moisture-related, the cause should be investigated before the surface is repaired.

What does foundation parging do?

Parging is a thin cementitious coating applied to exposed foundation walls. It gives a uniform finish and protects the surface. It is not a waterproofing system — active leaks or structural cracks need a separate assessment.
