Tile Installation Services

Bathroom wall and floor tiling, ceramic and porcelain floor tile and kitchen backsplashes — with careful surface preparation, layout and detailing.

Good tile work depends on what is underneath it. Substrate condition and layout are confirmed before the first tile is set.

Bathroom Tiling

Bathroom walls and floors are prepared for tile with suitable backing and, in wet areas, appropriate moisture protection. Layout is planned around fixtures and sightlines so cuts are balanced, and edges, corners and transitions are detailed cleanly.

Floor Tiling

Ceramic and porcelain floor tile needs a flat, sound substrate. Work includes substrate assessment, layout from the room’s main sightlines, setting, grouting and transitions to adjacent floors.

  • Substrate assessment and flatness checks
  • Layout, setting and grouting
  • Transitions to adjacent flooring

Kitchen Backsplash Installation

A backsplash is one of the most visible tile surfaces in a home. Tile selection, layout, cuts around outlets and windows, and clean finishing at counters and cabinets are planned so the result looks deliberate.

  • Tile selection and layout planning
  • Neat cuts around outlets and openings
  • Clean finishing at counters and cabinets

Tile materials & considerations.

Discussed before work is scheduled.

Ceramic and porcelain

Common choices for floors and walls; porcelain is denser and suits high-wear areas.

Large-format tile

Needs a very flat substrate and careful setting to avoid lippage.

Wet areas

Showers and tub surrounds need appropriate moisture protection behind the tile.

Grout choices

Colour and type affect appearance and maintenance.

Tile Installation questions.

All FAQs
Can new tile be installed over existing tile?

Sometimes — if the existing tile is well bonded, flat and the added height will not cause problems at doors and transitions. In many cases removing the old tile gives a more reliable result. We assess this on site.

Do I supply the tile or do you?

Either can work. If you supply the tile, order extra to allow for cuts and breakage — commonly 10–15%, depending on the layout and tile size — and keep a few spares for future repairs.

When can I use a newly tiled bathroom?

It depends on the setting materials, grout and sealant used, each of which has a cure time set by its manufacturer. We confirm the timing for your materials when the work is complete.
